Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and providing individualized therapeutic interventions to patients with physical, cognitive, and emotional impairments. Your goal will be to help patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life through customized treatment plans and therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical, cognitive, and functional limitations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including functional activities, fine motor skills training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies to enhance daily functioning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
  • Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute insights and ensure the best possible patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and incorporate new techniques into patient care.
  • Maintain and manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or long-term care environment.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
