Personal Caregiver

Job Description:

Home Therapy & Wellness is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Caregivers to join our dedicated team. As a Personal Caregiver, you will provide essential support to seniors by assisting with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance. Your role will be instrumental in helping clients maintain their dignity and independence while ensuring their comfort and well-being in a familiar home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Assist with medication reminders and ensure proper adherence to prescribed routines.
  • Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Support clients with mobility assistance, ensuring their safety while moving around the home.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including daily activities and any changes in the client’s condition.
  • Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure the best possible care for the client.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong desire to help others.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including assisting clients with mobility.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
